Good Friday fair viewers!

Zim and I had a weird week this week, I did something I never do around the summertime (use my PTO) and Zimmel got to fill in on a big show this week up in old Austin, Texas.

And that’s where we start our podcast, what in the hell is going on at the 40 acres? I think this is the sports story of the week to be honest with you. What an insane thing to happen to A&M and what a bad karmic move for the University of Texas.

Thank God Texas State owns Disch Falk Field, that’s all I’ll say about that, I promise. But sheesh, we had to talk about that. Now that we have had (counting my fingers here) ONE good season, Texas State is in all these coaching cycle talks and I would be crushed if something like that were to happen to us. Granted, obviously, it would be a lot different going from a G5 team to a school like Texas, but you can see where my mind is headed.

On Da Show:

This week on the show we’re catching up with our boy Caeveon Patton who just wrapped his season in the United Football League with the San Antonio Brahmas and seemingly has the world at his fingertips. Imagine doing back-to-back camps trying to make a team, dropping weight, putting on weight, learning playbooks and all the while training the next great athletes out of Cuero! Sounds like a job for a Bobcat if you ask me.
