Bye Week Blues

No Cats on Saturday :/

No football this Saturday and I’m okay with it.

In 12 days the Bobcats had played three games to open the season at UFCU Stadium.

Right now, the Bobcats are riding an average home game attendance of 24,274. Not a bad way to kick off the 2024 campaign.

This week: We pretty much barely heard from G.J. Kinne. A bye week around here and hell even a loss means limited availability.

So, tbh, lame sauce from the Bobcats.

I mean don’t get me wrong, we could have asked for anyone and gotten a coach or player onto the show this week.

But, we also have much to discuss about PAC-12 rumours and an amazing volleyball team we completely neglected in our coverage last year.

So, that’s what we did with our bye week.

Looking ahead to next week, our good buddy Brant Freeman is hopping on the mics with us to talk about Texas State V Sam Houston!

Here is some pre-writing homework from me: This rivalry is nuts.

Eight all-time meetings, 4-4 overall record for the ‘Cats and ‘Kats? (is that what you do for them? Texas State has beaten Sam Houston twice in overtime in ‘05 & ‘08. You can write a whole article based on some of these stats.

My ideas are starting to flow. I’m in the valley this week for some RnR and might sneak my way onto UTRGV’s campus to see how the Vaqueros are building their program from the ground up.

If I turn something it will be on DCTF’s page.

Until then, enjoy your weekend ‘Cats! Save some partying for the Houston crowd!

Thanks for Squarin’
